Two Seeds Bounced, Finals Tomorrow!
The Travis Helgeson (USA) /Lukas Lacko (SVK) match continued today, after rain forced postponement of the match last night tied at 4-4, 30-all in the first set. In his first Challenger level event, Helgeson held on for a win over 5th seeded Lacko, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 to earn a spot in the semifinals.
Following the Helgeson/Lacko match, the amazing Battistone brothers, Brian and Dann, took the stage in doubles against the top seeded team from the Czech Republic, Lucas Dlouhy and Tomas Zib. The Battistones held on in a 3 set thriller that featured an incredible super tie-breaker, 6-4, 3-6, 13-11. The doubles final will take place on Sunday. Since January, the Battistones ATP Doubles Ranking has dropped from 765 to 308.
