Friday Order of Play Highlights
In the singles competition, all second round matches are complete, and on Friday the quarter-finals begin. Friday’s feature match pits the number 5 seed, Lukas Lacko (SVK) against the former University of Georgia Bulldog Travis Helgeson.
In the first match of the day, 11:00 AM start, number 1 seed Paul Capdeville takes on Jesse Witten (USA). In another 11:00 start 2 Americans, Rajeev Ram and Brendan Evans battle for a spot in the quarters. Also in singles action, Carsten Ball (AUS), the 7 seed, meets qualifier Luigi D’Agord (ITA).
Two doubles matches are on the card for Friday. The Battistone Brothers, Brian and Dann, and their 2-grip racquets, take on the number 3 doubles seed Brendan Evans (USA) and Ken Skupski (GBR). This match will be followed by the number 4 seed doubles team of Carsten Ball (AUS) and Travis Rettenmaier (USA) vs. Luis Manual Flores (MEX) and Brad Pomeroy (USA).
