Tuesday Order of Play Highlights
Tuesday is all-singles day at the L G & T Tennis Challenger. The feature match, to start not before 5:30 PM, is between Todd Widom and the young wild card from Lithuania, Ricardas Berankis. Berankis, who just turned 18 in June, won the Junior US Open last year and finished the year as the number 1 junior in the world. He has already advanced to the semi-finals and twice to the quarter-finals of Futures events this year. Widom is ranked 275 in the world and has reached the quarter-finals and semi-finals of Challenger events this year.
The number 2 seed Ilia Bozoljac SRB) is in action tomorrow against Victor Estrella (DOM). Also in action tomorrow is the number 3 seed, Lukas Rosol (CZE) against Luigi D’Agord, the Italian qualifier. A great American matchup pits up-and-comer Scoville Jenkins against Rajeev Ram.
