A New Title!!
Tennis Charities of Binghamton announces an agreement for title sponsorship of the USTA Challenger in Binghamton. Databased Intelligence, Inc. has agreed to be a title sponsor of the event for the next 3 years. As a result, the event will change its name from the Binghamton Professional Tennis Tournament to the DBI Tennis Challenger. "We are very excited about the opportunity with DBI coming on board," said Laurie Bowen, the tournament director. "A title sponsor drives the tournament; it provides a lot of stability and helps us indirectly in many other areas such as getting more sponsors, marketing and promoting, planning activities; there are many subtleties that are influenced too. It adds to the momentum and it means a lot to us."
CEO of dBI, Larry Foster, adds "We are honored to become a part of this event as it enters its 12th year of bringing the brightest new tennis talent to the Binghamton area. The timing is perfect for us as we launch our new product, dQuery, into the market. The visibility we will gain by sponsoring this event is of great value to us and we look forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship with the fine folks who have worked so hard to make the dBI Tennis Challenger into a premier event."
The tournament also announces plans for more special events during the tournament week. Added events this year include:
-The Discovery Center Pastabilities dinner
-The Random Hit with the Pro event for fan interaction with the pros
-Will Stafford, Juggler extraordinaire
-Wilson Demo Day, an opportunity for fans to try out equipment
Also, Jared Campbell will headline the usual Friday night concert.
